Ugghhhhh… they’re almost over. You can tell how invested I was (hint: I was not) by how much of my focus is on the bad hair and Bella’s clothes.
Still can’t stand Bella, and still don’t understand why Team Edward is a thing. I feel that people who look at Edward as the model of a great partner need to sit down and seriously talk to a professional who specializes in relationship counseling.
Things I do not understand include but are not limited to:
- Why is Victoria so obsessed with killing Bella to get revenge on Edward when Alice is the one who killed James?
- Why is Edward such an asshole and such a control freak and petty to the point that he is willing to put his entire family and Bella at risk just to piss off Jacob? Like I get that this is what Stephanie Meyers wanted when she wrote these, but how did no one from the publisher on down comprehend how damaging it is to portray his behavior as having any sense of normalcy?
The editing is a little choppy because we were all over the place. We were so tired, this was not an enjoyable movie, and we were just punchy in general, and editing this took the better part of three days, so bear with us.
This came out in 2010 from Summit Distribution. It was directed by David Slade and written by Melissa Rosenberg based on the novels by Stephanie Meyer. It stars Kristin Stewert as Bella, Robert Pattinson as Edward, Taylor Laughtner as Jacob, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Ashley Greene as Alice, Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, and Xavier Samuel as Riley. We watched it on Showtime.
