This movie was hard for a number of reasons. First of all, what the hell did I watch?! Second of all, it was recommended by a dear friend who passed away a year ago. I had actually recorded this episode right before he died, and I didn’t listen to it until I edited it for this post. So that was difficult.
The people responsible for advertising promised I would get something reminiscent of The Neverending Story, and no, I certainly did not. This took weird and creepy to a whole new level.
This movie, which got a surprising 6 out of 10 on IMDB, came out in 1985 from Pan-Canadian Film Distributors. It was written and directed by Michael Rubbo, and it stars Mathew Mackay as Michael, Siluck Saysanasy as Connie, Alison Darcy as Suzie, and Michael Maillot as the Signor.
